La clásica banda de AOR, GIANT, vuelven a traernos la magia del hard melódico a los tiempos presentes.
La banda estadounidense en la que David Huff es el único componente originario, han publicado el álbum “Stand and deliver” con el sello Fronties Music.
Nada más comenzar el disco, la guitarra de John Ruth y la voz de Kent Hili nos definen el camino que nos va a llevar a través de las once canciones del disco: melodías que te llegan dentro, bien ejecutadas por la voz o por las seis cuerdas.
La tónica de las composiciones se mueve más en una vertiente muy al estilo de WHITESNAKE, pero hay piezas como “Beggars can’t be chossen” que nos evocan a los VAN HALEN de sus años gloriosos del “Hot for teacher”.
Estamos ante un disco de AOR de bandera, quizás no tan duro o heavy como otros publicados este año, pero de una calidad altamente recomendable.

The classic AOR band, GIANT, are back to bring us the magic of melodic hard and present times.
The American band in which David Huff is the only original member, have released the album «Stand and deliver» on the Fronties Music label.
At the very beginning of the album, John Ruth’s guitar and Kent Hili’s voice define the path that will lead us through the eleven songs of the album: melodies that reach inside you, well executed by the voice or by the six strings.
The tone of the compositions moves more in the style of WHITESNAKE, but there are pieces like «Beggars can’t be chossen» that evoke VAN HALEN.
We are in front of a flagship AOR album, maybe not as hard or heavy as others released this year, but of a highly recommendable quality.
