Ya he comentado en varias ocasiones que el metalcore se ha erigido como el campo de expansión del metal en su conjunto, rompiendo muros y ensamblando distintos subgéneros, gestando un abanico infinito de sonoridades dentro del mismo paraguas.
Un excelente ejemplo de esto es el disco “We should be buried like this” de los finlandeses BLOODRED HOURGLASS. En su séptimo disco de estudio muestran cómo se deben fundir recursos del death metal melódico, el industrial, el metal extremo con el propio metalcore.
Es un disco en que los arreglos instrumentales adquieren un protagonismo fundamental, pues el oído trasciende la primera línea de la melodía para ser esa la parte que se graba en nuestra mente una vez escuchados los diez cortes.
Discos como “We should be buried like this” son de los que serán considerados dentro de un tiempo como los que abrieron el camino a lo que vino después.

I have already mentioned on several occasions that metalcore has established itself as the field of expansion for metal as a whole, breaking down walls and bringing together different subgenres, creating an infinite range of sounds under the same umbrella.
An excellent example of this is the album «We Should Be Buried Like This» by the Finnish band BLOODRED HOURGLASS. On their seventh studio album, they show how to fuse elements of melodic death metal, industrial metal, and extreme metal with metalcore itself.
It is an album in which the instrumental arrangements take center stage, as the ear transcends the first line of the melody to become the part that sticks in our minds once we have listened to the ten tracks.
Albums like «We Should Be Buried Like This» are the ones that will be considered in time as having paved the way for what came after.
