Han transcurrido nueve años desde que los suecos ADEPT publicaran su “Sleepless” y este mes de octubre su silencio ha saltado por los aires con “Blood covenant”.
En “Blood covenant” la banda mantiene las notas características que les hacen reconocibles, como es su metalcore con un potente elemento de post-hardcore y una notable carga emocional en sus interpretaciones.
En este último trabajo, se perciben más los recursos nuevos que han integrado en su sonido, lo que muestra que la pausa compositiva no ha sido en vano. La incorporación de sintetizadores les ha hecho dar un paso más allá del hábitat del metalcore más académico (si es que eso existe), destacando sobre la gran cantidad del subgénero.
ADEPT han iniciado con “Blood covenant” una senda que ha dado a un muy buen disco y que puede darles un elemento diferencial dentro del metalcore.

Nine years have passed since Swedish band ADEPT released their album “Sleepless,” and this October, their silence has been shattered with “Blood Covenant.”
In “Blood Covenant,” the band maintains the characteristic notes that make them recognizable, such as their metalcore with a powerful post-hardcore element and a remarkable emotional charge in their performances.
In this latest work, the new resources they have integrated into their sound are more noticeable, showing that the compositional break has not been in vain. The incorporation of synthesizers has taken them a step beyond the realm of more academic metalcore (if such a thing exists), making them stand out from the vast majority of the subgenre.
With “Blood Covenant,” ADEPT has embarked on a path that has resulted in a very good album and could give them a distinctive edge within metalcore.
