Melodías que te hacen entrar en un estado de oscuro trance, voces guturales que transmiten pesadez y un profundo lamento, todo ello en medio de un paraje de arpegios y escalas menores incrementado todo ello con la sonoridad del finlandés, generan una inmersión total en éste “Kun valo minussa kuoli” de la banda de doom melódico KAUNIS KUOLEMATON.
El disco es claramente identificable con la escuela finlandesa del doom, siendo una obra ejecutada a la perfección, en la que las incorporaciones de fragmentos más propios del black metal con blast Beast y frying screams a lo CRADLE OF FILTH añaden una nota diferencial que es de agradecer y que transmite de manera categórica los sentimientos de dolor y angustia.
De haber sido publicado antes, seguramente lo habría incluido en mi top 10 de discos de 2025 con mención en el especial de doom.

Melodies that draw you into a dark trance, guttural vocals that convey heaviness and deep lament, all amid arpeggios and minor scales enhanced by the Finnish sound, create total immersion in this “Kun valo minussa kuoli” by melodic doom band KAUNIS KUOLEMATON.
The album is clearly identifiable with the Finnish school of doom, being a work executed to perfection, in which the incorporation of fragments more typical of black metal with blast beats and frying screams à la CRADLE OF FILTH add a distinctive note that is welcome and categorically conveys feelings of pain and anguish.
Had it been released earlier, I would surely have included it in my top 10 albums of 2025 with a mention in the doom special.
