El proyecto de la cantante y artista Kristyn Hope, DAEDRIC, ha sacado su nuevo disco “As the light left” después de las buenas críticas de su álbum de debut “Mortal” y de varios singles.

A los que nos gustó la propuesta de “Mortal”, en “As the light left” encontraremos varios elementos que nos harán reconocer a los americanos enseguida, como son el uso de sintetizadores y elementos de música electrónica junto con arreglos instrumentales clásicos y pequeñas orquestaciones. Pero en todo caso, lo que nos hará identificar el sonido es la voz de Kristyn, capaz de pasar de la brutalidad a la melosidad en cuestión de una nota. En este punto, decir que la voz limpia de Kristyn me engancha mucho más que la agresiva.

También habría que decir que la presencia de la voz eclipsa al resto de elementos de la banda, llegando a ser omnipresente. Habría agradecido un poco más de espacio para poder desarrollar y apreciar el trabajo instrumental de los temas.

Singer and artist Kristyn Hope’s project, DAEDRIC, has released its new album, “As the Light Left,” following the positive reviews of its debut album, “Mortal,” and several singles.

Those of us who liked Mortal will find several elements in As the Light Left that will make us recognize the Americans right away, such as the use of synthesizers and electronic music elements along with classical instrumental arrangements and small orchestrations. But in any case, what will make us identify the sound is Kristyn’s voice, capable of going from brutality to mellowness in a matter of a note. At this point, I must say that Kristyn’s clean voice hooks me much more than her aggressive one.

It should also be said that the presence of the voice overshadows the rest of the band’s elements, becoming omnipresent. I would have appreciated a little more space to develop and appreciate the instrumental work of the songs.
