Los alemanes EQUILIBRIUM por fin han lanzado un larga duración después de regar los últimos años con singles y EP. Su último disco toma el nombre de “Equinox” y mantiene los postulados fundamentales de su propuesta tan característica: sonidos cercanos al death metal melódico y al pagan metal pero vistos desde la perspectiva de los sonidos que emanan de instrumentos contemporáneos, sobre todo por los teclados y sintetizadores.
Cómo es costumbre, el resultado es muy consistente y no defraudará a los que sean seguidores de EQUILIBRIUM, aunque está lejos de ser su mejor disco.
Quizás el sonido final es menos trepidante que “Renegades”, su anterior disco al centrarse más en el sonido folk. Puede que el cambio de cantante haya influido en ese aspecto, ya que en “Equinox” no encontraréis ese cambio de voces guturales y limpias.
Aún con cambios en la formación, EQUILIBRIUM ha sacado un disco marca de la casa.

German band EQUILIBRIUM has finally released a full-length album after flooding the market with singles and EPs in recent years. Their latest album is called «Equinox» and maintains the fundamental principles of their characteristic style: sounds close to melodic death metal and pagan metal but seen from the perspective of the sounds emanating from contemporary instruments, especially keyboards and synthesizers.
As usual, the result is very consistent and will not disappoint EQUILIBRIUM fans.
Perhaps the final sound is less frenetic than «Renegades,» their previous album, as it focuses more on folk sounds. Perhaps the change of singer has influenced this aspect, as in «Equinox» you will not find that change from guttural to clean vocals.
Even with changes in the lineup, EQUILIBRIUM has released a signature album.
