MALEVOLENCE es una de las bandas a las que desde HUP hemos seguido su trabajo desde sus inicios.
La banda procedente de Sheffield, UK, ha publicado su cuarto LP con Nuclear Blast y su propio sello MLVLTD titulado “Where only the truth is spoken”.
Aunque ellos se califican a sí mismos como una banda de metalcore, siempre los he incluido dentro de la etiqueta de groove metal, pues la combinación de partes rítmicas trepidantes y más contundentes como el paso de un gigante, me encajan más en esa categoría.
Alguien podría decir que el sonido no ha sufrido una evolución respecto a anteriores trabajos, pero creo que no lo necesitan pues su propuesta es clara y éste disco puede posicionarles entre las principales bandas contemporáneas de groove, contando con la colaboración del mismísimo Randy Blythe (LAMB OF GOD).

MALEVOLENCE is one of the bands that we at HUP have been following since their beginnings.
The band from Sheffield, UK, has released their fourth LP with Nuclear Blast entitled «Where only the truth is spoken».
Although they qualify themselves as a metalcore band, I have always included them within the groove metal label, as the combination of fast-paced rhythmic parts and more forceful as the passing of a giant, fit me more in that category.
Someone could say that the sound has not undergone an evolution from previous works, but I think they do not need it because their proposal is clear and this album can position them among the main contemporary groove bands, with the collaboration of Randy Blythe himself (LAMB OF GOD).
