Los que somos seguidores y amantes del doom melódico estamos de enhorabuena con el lanzamiento de “October decay” de RED MOON ARCHITECT.
Después de su aclamado “Emptiness weighs the most” RED MOON ARCHITECT tenía el desafío de colmar las expectativas en un género que no deja mucho margen a la innovación si quieres seguir dentro de la etiqueta. Pues creo que han hecho un muy buen trabajo en el que la parte melódica ha ganada algo de terreno a la distorsión, siguiendo en la senda de grupos como DRACONIAN, SWALLOW THE SUN o SHAPE OF DESPAIR, en el que las voces limpias y guturales se cruzan en un baile hipnótico que te arropa durante sus casi cincuenta minutos.
En “October decay” siguen creando entornos melancólicos en donde destaca esa confrontación entre voces guturales masculinas y las angelicales femeninas, con ciertos riffs que insinúan la influencia del heavy metal old school que supuso el origen del doom.

Those of us who are followers and lovers of melodic doom are in luck with the release of RED MOON ARCHITECT’s “October decay”.
After their acclaimed “Emptiness weighs the most” RED MOON ARCHITECT had the challenge of fulfilling the expectations in a genre that doesn’t leave much room for innovation if you want to stay within the label. Well, I think they have done a very good job in which the melodic part has gained some ground to the distortion, following the path of bands like DRACONIAN, SWALLOW THE SUN or SHAPE OF DESPAIR, in which clean and guttural voices cross in a hypnotic dance that envelops you during its almost fifty minutes.
In “October decay” they continue creating melancholic environments where the confrontation between male guttural voices and female angelic ones stands out, with certain riffs that insinuate the influence of the old school heavy metal that was the origin of doom.
