Uno de los descubrimientos del año de los ESP de Rick ha sido el disco “Blissphony” de los gallegos STONED AT POMPEII.
Éste disco mantiene la excelente línea en su carrera, con su perfecta fusión de distintos afluentes del rock, pero creo que más que ese sonido rock me ha sorprendido el regusto del rock británico como el de PLACEBO, sobre todo en las líneas melódicas y la parte rítmica.
En “Blissphony” hay temas que sugieren una escucha más introspectiva como “The End of The Sun” o “If God is just a name” mientras que otros casi te empujan a saltar al son de “Little Game”. También hay momentos en los que la distorsión toma el mando dando a un sonido crudo que conecta con la esencia del rock como “We run The show”.
Incuestionablemente, de lo mejor que ha dado 2025 dentro del panorama nacional.

One of Rick’s ESP discoveries of the year has been the album «Blissphony» by Galician band STONED AT POMPEII.
This album maintains the excellent standard of their career, with its perfect fusion of different rock influences, but I think that more than the rock sound, I was surprised by the aftertaste of British rock like PLACEBO, especially in the melodic lines and the rhythmic part.
On «Blissphony,» there are songs that suggest a more introspective listening experience, such as «The End of The Sun» or «If God is just a name,» while others almost push you to jump to the beat of «Little Game.» There are also moments when distortion takes over, giving a raw sound that connects with the essence of rock, such as «We run The show.»
Unquestionably, this is one of the best albums released in 2025 on the national scene.
