La banda capitaneada por el binomio Kennedy/Tremontti, ALTER BRIDGE, lanza su disco homónimo con el sello Napalm Records.
En este disco nos reencontraremos con los elementos definidores del sonido ALTER BRIDGE: complejos riffs y potentes estribillos, y la voz de Myles Kennedy que le reafirma como una de las voces más en forma del panorama actual.
Después de varios discos en solitario y dos trabajos de la banda que no han terminado de conectar conmigo, en este “Alter bridge” sí he vuelto a sentir que estaba ante la banda que creó discos memorables como el “Blackbird” o “One day remains”. Aunque reconozco que “Alter bridge”es un golpe en la mesa para reivindicar lo que es y ha sido la banda norteamericana, no está a la misma altura de esos míticos discos que comentaba.
En resumen, “Alter bridge” es un buen disco que vuelve al terreno donde conocimos al grupo, aunque no llega a mirar cara a cara a algunos de sus trabajos más importantes.

The band led by the duo Kennedy/Tremontti, ALTER BRIDGE, releases its self-titled album on the Napalm Records label.
On this album, we rediscover the defining elements of the ALTER BRIDGE sound: complex riffs and powerful choruses, and the voice of Myles Kennedy, which reaffirms him as one of the best voices on the current scene.
After several solo albums and two albums by the band that didn’t quite connect with me, this “Alter Bridge” has made me feel once again that I am listening to the band that created memorable albums such as ‘Blackbird’ and “One Day Remains.” Although I recognize that Alter Bridge is a statement of intent to reclaim what the American band is and has been, it is not on the same level as those legendary albums I mentioned.
In short, Alter Bridge is a good album that returns to the territory where we first got to know the band, although it does not quite measure up to some of their most important works.
