Seguimos viendo como bandas legendarias del metal publican nuevos trabajos. En esta ocasión, los teutones KREATOR, pioneros del thrash europeo, vuelven con “Krushers of the world”, de la mano del sello Nuclear Blast.
KREATOR sigue mostrando que por ellos el tiempo no pasa, de tal forma que mantienen unos elevados niveles de velocidad, técnica e intensidad en los cortes del disco. Su sonido no es el frenético thrash de sus inicios, sino que mantienen la tónica que KREATOR lleva forjando desde el “Violent revolution”: un thrash directo, moderno y con riffs muy contundentes. Es el sonido por el que llevan apostando casi la mitad de su carrera, por lo que no me parecía previsible un retorno o giro a etapas anteriores ya que es evidente que se sienten cómodos ahí y generan buenos discos.
Un aspecto destacable es la producción bajo la batuta de Jens Bogren, en la que hay casi una unanimidad en el excelente trabajo realizado, ya que pone a todos los instrumentos en su sitio, perfectamente empastados con la voz de Mille Petrozza, respetando la contundencia y definición del sonido final.
Si os gusta el sonido contemporáneo de KREATOR, “Krushers of the world” no os decepcionará.

We continue to see legendary metal bands releasing new albums. This time, German band KREATOR, pioneers of European thrash metal, are back with Krushers of the World, released by Nuclear Blast.
KREATOR continues to show that time has no effect on them, maintaining high levels of speed, technique, and intensity throughout the album. Their sound is not the frenetic thrash of their early days, but rather maintains the tone that KREATOR has been forging since “Violent Revolution”: direct, modern thrash with very powerful riffs. It’s the sound they’ve been sticking with for almost half their career, so I didn’t think a return or shift to earlier stages was likely, as it’s clear that they feel comfortable there and produce good albums.
One notable aspect is the production under the baton of Jens Bogren, which has been almost unanimously praised for its excellent work, putting all the instruments in their place, perfectly blended with Mille Petrozza’s voice, while respecting the forcefulness and definition of the final sound.
If you like KREATOR’s contemporary sound, “Krushers of the World” will not disappoint you.
