MYRATH – Wilderness of mirrors, 2026. - Horns Up Metal Podcast 🤘

Los tunecinos MYRATH, después de haberme dejado con la boca abierta después de su disco “Karma” de 2024, han lanzado su nuevo LP “Wilderness of mirrors”, al que he acudido con la expectación de saber si estaría a la altura de su predecesor.

En este disco se mantienen diversos aspectos que son propios de la personalidad de MYRATH, como es el toque de folclore oriental en muchos de sus arreglos y percusiones, al que han añadido fragmentos y temas cantados en árabe y francés. Su sonido, aún manteniendo el carácter de progresivo, es más tendente en este redondo al power metal sinfónico de bandas como KAMELOT. Puede que las composiciones, al buscar más la introspección que en otros discos, no cuentan con tanta epicidad y gancho, pero gana en emotividad, como han destacado sus miembros en su promoción.

Como conclusión, podría decir que “Wilderness of mirrors” es un disco más complejo desde el punto de vista compositivo, más acogedor al buscar el corazón del oyente, y por ello generador de emociones más contenidas, dando a un disco que gana con cada escucha.

The Tunisian band MYRATH, having left me speechless with their 2024 album “Karma,” have released their new LP “Wilderness of Mirrors,” which I approached with high hopes of seeing if it would live up to its predecessor.

This album retains various aspects characteristic of MYRATH’s style, such as the touch of Eastern folklore in many of their arrangements and percussion, to which they’ve added fragments and songs sung in Arabic and French. Their sound, while still retaining its progressive character, leans more toward the symphonic power metal of bands like KAMELOT on this album. Perhaps the compositions, by seeking more introspection than on other albums, lack some of the epic grandeur and catchiness, but they gain in emotional depth, as the band members have highlighted in their promotional materials.

In conclusion, I would say that “Wilderness of Mirrors” is a more complex album from a compositional standpoint, more inviting as it seeks to touch the listener’s heart, and thus generates more subdued emotions, resulting in an album that grows on you with every listen.
