Los norteamericanos STARBENDERS vuelven a descargar su rock con “The beast goes on” y con él el sonido de salas llenas de humo, sudor y cerveza derramada.

Este disco, aun manteniendo parte de la impronta de STARBENDER, tiene un sonido final más melódico que su predecesor… quizás se podría decir que se acerca más al mainstream, sin que sea un disco de mala calidad, ni mucho menos.

Nuevamente, una de las notas diferenciales de la banda es la sencillez, pero no como si fueran unas composiciones poco elaboradas o simplonas, sino que son directas y te hacen sentir su impulso desde la primera nota y no se empiezan a complicar con estructuras complejas, sino que basta con tener una personalidad clara a base de glam y ciertos toques punk.

Como parte imprescindible de esa personalidad está la voz de Kimi, que con su cadencia lánguida, chulesca en ciertos puntos, provocadora en todo momento, te hace seguirla tema a tema deseando que la fiesta no acabe nunca.

The American band STARBENDERS returns to unleash their rock with “The Beast Goes On,” bringing with it the sound of rooms filled with smoke, sweat, and spilled beer.

This album, while retaining part of the STARBENDER imprint, has a more melodic sound than its predecessor… perhaps one could say that it is closer to the mainstream, without being a poor-quality album, far from it.

Once again, one of the band’s distinguishing features is simplicity, but not in the sense of unelaborate or simplistic compositions. Rather, they are direct and make you feel their momentum from the first note. They don’t complicate things with complex structures, but rather rely on a clear personality based on glam and certain punk touches.

An essential part of that personality is Kimi’s voice, which, with its languid cadence, cocky at times, provocative at all times, makes you follow her from song to song, wishing the party would never end.
