Los británicos SYLOSIS han sido unos invitados recurrentes en HUP con cada uno de los singles que han ido perlando los meses de espera hasta la publicación final de “The new flesh”.
Las 11 pistas son una descarga impresionante de groove gracias a la dureza de sus guitarras y bajo, con alusiones tanto al speed metal en ciertos recursos técnicos en los solos de guitarra y al metalcore en los cambios de registros vocales y la incursión de elementos electrónicos.
Si bien los temas de forma individual son muy buenos, en el conjunto del disco suenan bastante similares, con algunas excepciones en las que la voz de Josh Middleton pasa por un frying Scream o los solos tienen un matiz de death metal melódico.
En resumen, un buen trabajo que puede sonar muy bien en directo.

British band SYLOSIS have been regular guests on HUP with each of the singles that have been released over the months leading up to the final release of «The New Flesh.»
The 11 tracks are an impressive groove-filled blast thanks to the heaviness of their guitars and bass, with references to both speed metal in certain technical aspects of the guitar solos and metalcore in the vocal range changes and the incorporation of electronic elements.
While the songs are very good individually, as a whole they sound quite similar, with a few exceptions where Josh Middleton’s voice goes through a frying scream or the solos have a hint of melodic death metal.
In short, a good work that can sound great live.
