Este 2024 todavía se guardaba en la manga uno disco de los que puede ser candidato a las más altas posiciones en el top de fin de año.

Al margen de polémicas personales y profesionales de su cantante, Tim Lambesis, AS I LAY DYING han publicado su nuevo disco “Through storms ahead” lo que supone un retorno por la puerta grande al metalcore.

Si bien la banda ha llegado a ser un proyecto en solitario de su cantante con la precipitada salida de todos los demás miembros, llegando a tener que cancelar las fechas que tenían planificadas en Europa, hay que reconocer que Tim se sale a las voces, combinando la su crudeza con la voz de Ryan Neff, armonizando perfectamente con el resto de instrumentos.

“Through storms ahead” sigue manteniendo la apisonadora rítmica a la batería, seguida de manera frenética por los riffs de guitarra hasta el punto de que resulta complicado no estar dando botes de principio a fin. Es como si el tiempo no pasara por ellos y que el parón de estos años no les haya hecho mella.

A ver si con un poco de suerte su formación se recompone y podemos verles en concierto.

Apart from personal and professional controversies of their singer, Tim Lambesis, AS I LAY DYING have released their new album “Through storms ahead” which is a return to metalcore.

Although the band has become a solo project of its singer with the hasty departure of all the other members, having to cancel the dates they had planned in Europe, we must recognize that Tim comes out on vocals, combining his rawness with Ryan Neff’s voice, harmonizing perfectly with the rest of the instruments.

“Through storms ahead” continues to maintain the rhythmic steamroller on drums, followed in a frenetic way by the guitar riffs to the point that it is difficult not to be bouncing from beginning to end. It is as if time has not passed them by and that the hiatus of these years has not made a dent.

Let’s see if with a bit of luck their line-up gets back together and we can see them in concert.
