Hoy os vengo a compartir uno de esos grupos de un sonido más extremo y sobre los que llevo acechando a la espera de la publicación de su nuevo trabajo durante un tiempo y que al fin han publicado material. Se trata de los alemanes BIPOLAR ARCHITECTURE, con su disco “Metaphysicize”.
Como carta de presentación, podemos decir que s una de esas nuevas bandas de altísimo nivel técnico que fusionan el post-rock, el djent, el core y el metal progresivo, lo meten en una coctelera y salen discazos de esos que te tienes que sentar a disfrutar en tu butacón y dejarte llevar por el sonido.
Para hacerse una idea, siguen la línea de THE OCEAN o dan un paso más allá de lo que supusieron los primeros discos de GOJIRA, combinando las guitarras distorsionadas con guitarras limpias con delay, que crean una atmósfera de ingravidez y caída al vacío a la vez que es realmente hipnótica.
Una de las características que más me atrapan de esta propuesta es el enorme contraste entre los distintos sonidos de los componentes de la banda: por un lado la crudeza de la voz y la distorsión de la guitarra rítmica; por otro, el ritmo trepidante y con ciertos aires jazzísticos de la batería que me recordaron a MESSUGGAH; y la melosidad de las guitarras solitas. Todo ello conforma un conjunto que te abre la mente a todo lo que la música es capaz de hacer bien combinada.
Lo que más destacaría de BIPOLAR ARCHITECURE es la parte instrumental, ya que los growls vocales me llegan a resultar un tanto monótonos y al final presto más atención “a lo que hay detrás”, que realmente me parece magistral.
BIPOLAR ARCHITECTURE vuelven a darle una vuelta de tuerca al metal extremo, fulminando las etiquetas y haciendo un magnífico disco que gustará tanto los que se decanten por el metal extremo como por el progresivo, pues la buena música está por encima de categorías o clasificaciones.

Today I come to share with you one of those bands with a more extreme sound and about whom I’ve been stalking waiting for the release of their new work for a while and who have finally released some material. We are talking about the Germans BIPOLAR ARCHITECTURE, with their album «Metaphysicize».
As a letter of introduction, we can say that they are one of those new bands of the highest technical level that fuse post-rock, djent, core and progressive metal, put it in a shaker and they come out with one of those great albums that you have to sit back and enjoy in your armchair and let yourself be carried away by the sound.
To get an idea, they follow the line of THE OCEAN or go a step further than the first GOJIRA albums, combining distorted guitars with clean guitars with delay, which create an atmosphere of weightlessness and fall into the void at the same time that is really hypnotic.
One of the characteristics that catch me the most of this proposal is the huge contrast between the different sounds of the band’s components: on the one hand, the rawness of the voice and the distortion of the rhythm guitar; on the other hand, the fast rhythm and with certain jazzy airs of the drums that reminded me of MESSUGGAH; and the mellowness of the solo guitars. All this makes up a whole that opens your mind to all that music is capable of doing well combined.
What I would highlight the most of BIPOLAR ARCHITECURE is the instrumental part, since the vocal growls become a bit monotonous for me and at the end I pay more attention to «what’s behind», which I really find masterful.
BIPOLAR ARCHITECTURE once again give a new twist to extreme metal, fulminating the labels and making a magnificent album that will please both those who prefer extreme metal and progressive, because good music is above categories or classifications.
