[ENGLISH VERSION]
BURY TOMORROW, one of the reference bands of British metalcore have released their new album “Will You Haunt Me, With That Same Patience” with the hope of finding the album that will definitely make them make the leap and the public put them on the same level as contemporary metalcore bands like WHILE SHE SLEEPS.
Personally, to connect with the album I needed a couple of spins, because at first it didn’t keep me hooked if we don’t count the fragments of clean vocals by Dani Winter-Bates. The most forceful parts overwhelmed me with their baritone guitars and the constant changes of guttural register.
A more relaxed listening has revealed to me that BURY TOMORROW is not one of those bands that you can look at from their past, but that you have to listen to them with the only perspective of what you have in front of you and not think if this album is better or worse than the previous one. Thus, I have started to enjoy the melodies that emanate from the harmonic maelstrom with a lot of emotionality.
“Will you haunt me, with that same patience” is not a bad album, as is none of the British, but it lacks that point that enlivens the connection with the listener, as it falls too much weight on the melodic parts.
