No podemos dejar pasar el año sin hablar de uno de los trabajos de AOR más destacados del año.
FANS OF THE DARK han publicado su disco “Video” que casi podríamos considerar un homenaje a la cultura de los 80, ya que tanto la imagen, la temática y, por descontado, el sonido de la banda, remomora esa década por muchos añorada. De hecho, hasta el grano de sus vídeoclips mantiene ese estética.
Al margen de lo dicho, es un disco que me ha resultado mucho mejor que su predecesor en lo que a nivel de las composiciones se refiere, con unas melodías con muchísima pegada… de hecho creo que es imposible no tararear “Find your love” o “The neon phantom” durante varios días después de escuchar el redondo por primera vez.
No sé qué ha pasado este año, pero parece que Suecia se ha convertido en la fábrica de AOR mundial. ¡Sí, señor!

We can’t let the year go by without talking about one of the most outstanding AOR works of the year.
FANS OF THE DARK have released their album “Video” which we could almost consider a tribute to the 80’s culture, since the image, the theme and, of course, the sound of the band, reminiscent of that decade missed by many. In fact, even the grain of their video clips maintains this aesthetic.
Apart from that, it is an album that has been much better than its predecessor as far as the compositions are concerned, with melodies with a lot of punch … in fact I think it is impossible not to hum “Find your love” or “The neon phantom” for several days after listening to the album for the first time.
I don’t know what happened this year, but it seems that Sweden has become the world’s AOR factory. Yes, sir!
