Una de las bandas referencia e insignia del black metal nórdico, NECROPHOBIC, vuelven este 2024 con su “In the twilight grey”, nuevamente con el sello Century Media.
De verdad que hay bandas que parece que son incombustibles, ya que éste es el décimo disco desde su fundación en 1989 y creo que se puede decir sin ningún género de dudas que han podido ser una de las bandas de black con una trayectoria más sólida, ya que todos sus discos han mantenido un altísimo nivel. Es verdad que desde sus orígenes ya trabajaron una vertiente un tanto menos radical que otras formaciones como MAYHEM, DARKTHRONE o BURZUM, al ser mucho más melódica, pero en todos estos años creo que no se puede decir que hayan tenido baches y han sabido adaptarse a los múltiples cambios en su formación.
Para aquellos que hayan seguido a la banda lo largo de todos estos años, podrán reencontrarse con esos riffs trepidantes y baterías que parecen ametralladoras pero que dan paso, como si nada, a partes muy melódicas, gracias, en gran medida a sus solos de guitarra. Muestra de ello son temas como “Stormcrow”, “Shadows of the brighest night” o “Cast in Stone”.
NECROPHOBIC con este “In the twilight grey” suman un disco más a su consagrada carrera con el mérito especial, no sólo de haber llegado a ser un baluarte del black metal, sino de haberse mantenido durante todos estos años.

One of the reference and flagship bands of Nordic black metal, NECROPHOBIC, return this 2024 with their “In the twilight grey”, again on Century Media label.
There are some bands that seem to be incombustible, since this is the tenth album since their foundation in 1989 and I think it can be said without any doubt that they have been one of the black metal bands with a more solid career, because all their albums have maintained a very high level. It is true that from their origins they already worked a less radical side than other bands like MAYHEM, DARKTHRONE or BURZUM, being much more melodic, but in all these years I think it can not be said that they have had bumps and they have been able to adapt to the multiple changes in their line-up.
For those who have followed the band throughout all these years, they will be able to rediscover those thundering riffs and drums that seem like machine guns but that give way, as if nothing, to very melodic parts, thanks, to a great extent to their guitar solos. Proof of this are songs like “Stormcrow”, “Shadows of the brighest night” or “Cast in Stone”.
NECROPHOBIC with this “In the twilight grey” add one more album to their consecrated career with the special merit, not only of having become a bastion of black metal, but also of having been maintained during all these years.
