URNE – Setting Fire To The Sky, 2026 - Horns Up Metal Podcast 🤘

En los momentos en los que el alma se hunde en mares inciertos, siempre hay una voz interior que nos impulsa a asomar la cabeza en un último intento de volver a tocar tierra, en que algo o alguien nos saque de ahí.

Esa sensación es la que he percibido en cada uno de los temas de “Setting fire to The Sky” de los ingleses URNE, en los que mezclan la contundencia de un groove metal con una parte ubicada en el centro del sludge y arreglos de death metal melódico.

Gracias a esa fusión de elementos y de subestilos que tienen como denominador común la pesadumbre, han engendrado una pieza perfecta que equilibra velocidad, pausa y melodía.

Espero que a final de año no nos olvidemos de este trabajo, que merece un justo reconocimiento.

In moments when the soul sinks into uncertain seas, there is always an inner voice that urges us to lift our heads in a last attempt to touch land again, where something or someone will pull us out of there.

That is the feeling I have perceived in each of the tracks on Setting Fire to The Sky by the English band URNE, in which they mix the forcefulness of melancholic groove metal with a part located in the center of sludge and melodic death metal arrangements.

Thanks to this fusion of elements, «Setting Fire to The Sky,» with subgenres that have heaviness as their common denominator, has produced a perfect piece that balances speed, pause, and melody.

I hope that at the end of the year we don’t forget this work, which deserves fair recognition.
