El vampiro de la Ciudad del Viento, LEX LÜGER, ha dejado claro no sólo en entrevistas sino en su propia discografía la relevancia que ha tenido para él la película “The Lost Boys” (que se distribuyó en España con el título de “Jóvenes ocultos”) de Joel Schumacher y que se ha convertido en una película de culto.
El planteamiento del disco no es una narración de la película, sino que hace las veces de precuela de cómo David se convierte en vampiro de la mano de Max.
No se me ocurre mejor artista que el zaragozano para crear esta obra que en muchos momentos del disco suena como la banda sonora de esa película imaginaria, que ya fue homenajeada por Lex en la versión del tema “Cry little sister” de Gerard McMahon.
El synthwave que Lex aplica a las canciones encaja a la perfección con toda la imaginería creada en torno al film, tanto en las partes en las que destacan los neones como en los que se centra en la oscuridad de la residencia de los vampiros. Incluso las partes en los que suena el saxofón evocan a la escena de la película en la que se celebra un concierto en la playa donde Mike y Star se conocen.
Musicalmente el disco es impecable, con unos arreglos y melodías que te hacen entrar en Santa Carla y en la historia desde el primer momento, que es lo que se pretende.

The vampire of the Windy City, LEX LÜGER, has made clear not only in interviews but in his own discography the relevance that has had for him the film «The Lost Boys» (which was distributed in Spain with the title of «Jóvenes ocultos») by Joel Schumacher and that has become a cult film.
The approach of the album is not a narration of the film, but serves as a prequel of how David becomes a vampire by the hand of Max.
I can’t think of a better artist than the Zaragozan to create this work that in many moments of the album sounds like the soundtrack of that imaginary movie, which was already paid tribute to by Lex in the version of the song «Cry little sister» by Gerard McMahon.
The synthwave that Lex applies to the songs fits perfectly with all the imagery created around the film, both in the parts where the neon lights stand out and in those that focus on the darkness of the vampires’ residence. Even the parts in which the saxophone sounds evoke the scene of the film in which a concert is held on the beach where Mike and Star meet.
Musically the album is impeccable, with arrangements and melodies that make you enter Santa Clara and the story from the first moment, which is what is intended.
