En el momento en el que escuché por completo el “Cursum perficio” de ANTHRAX no había leído ni escuchado ninguna crítica al disco. Una vez completado, fui a comparar las opiniones sobre el mismo y ahí fue cuando se me abrieron los ojos como platos al ver las malas opiniones que se vertían sobre él.
Para mí, que nunca he sido un fan incondicional de los neoyorkinos, “Cursum perficio” me ha parecido uno de los mejores discos de su carrera con muy buenas composiciones de un thrash metal maduro y asentado, pero con muchísimo gancho.
La banda se atreve con todo al ofrecer sonidos del thrash más auténtico como temas que contienen momentos más progresivos y estructuras complejas.
En HUP está claro que somos de desmarcarnos del camino, por lo que puedo decir que “Cursum perficio” es un disco excelente.

By the time I had listened to ANTHRAX’s “Cursum perficio” in its entirety, I hadn’t read or heard a single review of the album. Once I’d finished it, I went to check out what others were saying about it, and that’s when my eyes widened in shock at the negative reviews pouring in.
For me—someone who’s never been a die-hard fan of the New Yorkers—“Cursum perficio” struck me as one of the best albums of their career, featuring excellent compositions of mature, well-established thrash metal that’s incredibly catchy.
The band takes on everything, offering both the most authentic thrash sounds and tracks that contain more progressive moments and complex structures.
At HUP, we’re known for thinking outside the box, so I can say that “Cursum perficio” is an excellent album.
