El dúo de los exitosos compositores Country Kix Brooks y Ronnie Dunn han vuelto para revisitar su disco “1st…and then some”, en lo que es un clásico disco de duetos y colaboraciones de lo más granado del panorama Country actual, integrando las nuevas voces de nombres ya conocidos en el RBB como Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney o, en una vertiente más radical, Lizzy Hale con sus HALESTORM que replantean de pies a cabeza el “Boot Scootin’ Boogie”. Christone «Kingfish» Ingram, también se asoma por este disco en el tema “Hard working man” en el que sería el tema más blusero del disco.
Como se puede apreciar de lo que he dicho hasta ahora, no les duele en prendas mostrar su capacidad de pasar sus temas por los filtros de distintos estilos, sin que pierdan un ápice de calidad. Buena muestra es el tema “Hillibilly Deluxe” interpretada junto a HARDY, que pasa de una sonoridad de botas y polvo a poder sonar en cualquier festival de metal.
Cuando hay talento y excelencia, da igual el filtro por el que se pase. Siguen siendo piezas de colección.

The duo of successful Country songwriters Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn have returned to revisit their album «1st…and then some», in what is a classic album of duets and collaborations of the best of the current Country scene, integrating the new voices of already known names in the RBB as Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney or, in a more radical side, Lizzy Hale with her HALESTORM that rethink from head to toe the «Bogota Scootin’ Boogie». Christone «Kingfish» Ingram, also appears in this album in the song «Hard working man» in what would be the most bluesy song of the album.
As can be appreciated from what I have said so far, it does not hurt them in garments to show their ability to pass their songs through the filters of different styles, without losing an iota of quality. A good example is the song «Hillibilly Deluxe» performed together with HARDY, which goes from a sound of boots and dust to being able to sound in any metal hmfestival.
When there is talent and excellence, it doesn’t matter what filter you go through. They are still collector’s items.
