EVADNE – The fragile light of fireflies, 2025.

Desde Valencia, la banda de doom melódico EVADNE ha roto su silencio para traernos “The fragile light of firefies”, un replanteamiento completo de su “The pale light of fireflies” de 2021, y que hasta la fecha era su último larga duración.

Cuando hablo de replanteamiento me refiero en que la banda ha congido todos los temas de dicho disco y los ha regrabado completamente pero planteándolos como si fueran temas acústicos, pero han llevado a cabo un giro tal, que podemos estar hablando de temas nuevos. En este caso, no habrá voces guturales, sino que nos veremos ante un precioso disco que conectará directamente con nuestra alma por medio de la melancolía.

Las comparaciones son odiosas, pero me ha resultado imposible no recordar el segundo disco del “Songs from the North” de SWALLOW THE SUN.

Con este disco, EVADNE muestra que tienen recursos suficientes para estar entre las mejores bandas del mundo de doom melódico, pudiendo codearse con las nórdicas sin complejos.

From Valencia, melodic doom band EVADNE has broken its silence to bring us “The fragile light of fireflies,” a complete reworking of its 2021 album “The pale light of fireflies,” which was its last full-length release to date.

When I say reworking, I mean that the band has taken all the tracks from that album and completely re-recorded them, but treating them as if they were acoustic tracks. However, they have made such a change that we could be talking about new tracks. In this case, there will be no growling vocals, but rather a beautiful album that will connect directly with our soul through melancholy.

Comparisons are odious, but I found it impossible not to remember SWALLOW THE SUN’s second album, “Songs from the North.”

With this album, EVADNE shows that they have enough resources to be among the best bands in the world of melodic doom, rubbing shoulders with the Nordic bands without any complexes.
