Con Gone With The Devil, Yoth Iria deja de ser simplemente «la banda de Jim Mutilator» para convertirse en una de las referencias actuales del black metal mediterráneo. Con este tercer trabajo logra construir un sonido reconocible y propio sin romper con la tradición helénica.
Los arreglos son más ricos, aparecen elementos ceremoniales, coros rituales, instrumentación poco habitual y una clara voluntad de crear una experiencia más teatral que en trabajos anteriores. La banda no abandona las melodías oscuras que caracterizan al black metal griego, pero las envuelve en una producción más grandiosa .
Uno de los aspectos más interesantes del álbum es cómo integra influencias del heavy metal clásico dentro de un contexto extremo.
La interpretación vocal de He, con su registro áspero, convive con pasajes más melódicos y litúrgicos que refuerzan el carácter ceremonial del álbum. El resultado recuerda más a un ritual pagano que a una simple colección de canciones de black metal.
Gone With The Devil es, hasta la fecha, el trabajo más completo y ambicioso de Yoth Iria. Conserva la esencia del black metal helénico —melodía, ocultismo, épica y atmósfera— mientras amplía considerablemente su vocabulario musical.

With *Gone With The Devil*, Yoth Iria has evolved from being simply “Jim Mutilator’s band” to becoming one of the leading acts in contemporary Mediterranean black metal. With this third album, they’ve managed to forge a distinctive, recognizable sound of their own without breaking with the Hellenic tradition.
The arrangements are richer, featuring ceremonial elements, ritual chants, unusual instrumentation, and a clear desire to create a more theatrical experience than in previous works. The band does not abandon the dark melodies characteristic of Greek black metal, but wraps them in a more grandiose production.
One of the most interesting aspects of the album is how it integrates influences from classic heavy metal within an extreme context.
He’s vocal delivery, with its harsh register, coexists with more melodic and liturgical passages that reinforce the album’s ceremonial character. The result is more reminiscent of a pagan ritual than a simple collection of black metal songs.
Gone With The Devil is, to date, Yoth Iria’s most complete and ambitious work. It preserves the essence of Hellenic black metal—melody, occultism, epicness, and atmosphere—while considerably expanding its musical vocabulary.
