El pasado día 26 de enero se editó este “Limitless” de los metalcore alemanes ANNY GIVEN DAY; su cuarto redondo del que he de decir que es el primero que escucho íntegramente y que la verdad, me ha sorprendido muchísimo y ha hecho que me interese por el resto de su discografía.
El disco inicia con la poderosa “Get that done”, con un brutal riff y un estribillo con muy buena melodía y que de primeras te puede llegar a recordar a KILLSWITCH ENGAGE o TRIVIUM, añadiendo unos geniales cambios de ritmo, fórmula que repiten con mucho acierto a lo largo de los once temas del álbum, destacando por ejemplo “Apocalypse” o “Come Whatever May”, de mis favoritos, donde al inicio parece que te van a dar un pequeño respiro pero… para nada: a medio tema te sorprenden con un brutal giro que te acaba de dejar enganchado en el sillón y en donde vuelve a destacar la voz de Dennis, demostrando una vez más su buen hacer con los cambios de registro de su poderosa voz.
Otro de los momentos destacables llega en la forma de “Unbreakable”, con algunos riffs que pueden llegar a recordar a unos actuales IN FLAMES o incluso a PANTERA con ese riff de ‘Shockwave’.
En este redondo tampoco faltan temas con algún toque más “comercial” como es el caso de “Best Time” o “H.A.T.E.”, este último con la colaboración de los miembros de ANNISOKAY.
Si te gustan bandas como BURY TOMORROW o las anteriormente citadas, quédate con este nombre y no dejes pasar la oportunidad de escuchar este “Limitless”, con el que no pararás de sacudir la cabeza ni un solo minuto. Para disfrutar al máximo.

Last January 26th was released this «Limitless» by the German metalcore band ANNY GIVEN DAY; their fourth full-length album of which I must say that it is the first one I have listened entirely and it has surprised me a lot and has made me interested in the rest of their discography.
The album starts with the powerful «Get that done», with a brutal riff and a chorus with a very good melody and that, at first, can remind you KILLSWITCH ENGAGE or TRIVIUM, adding some great rhythm changes, a formula that they repeat with great success throughout the eleven tracks of the album, highlighting for example «Apocalypse» or «Come Whatever May», one of my favorites, where at the beginning it seems that they will give you a little break but … not at all: halfway through the song they surprise you with a brutal turn that will leave you hooked on the couch and where Dennis’ voice stands out once again, showing once again his good work with the changes of register of his powerful voice.
Another highlight comes with «Unbreakable», with some riffs that can remind us current IN FLAMES or even PANTERA with that riff of ‘Shockwave’.
In this CD there are songs with a more «commercial» touch like «Best Time» or «H.A.T.E.», this last one with the collaboration of the members of ANNISOKAY.
If you like bands like BURY TOMORROW or the above mentioned, stay with this name and do not miss the opportunity to listen to this «Limitless», with which you will not stop banging your head for a single minute. For maximum enjoyment.
