En esta ocasión os voy a hablar de un disco que creo que puede ser el punto de inflexión en la carrera de una banda, que creo que solamente se habla aquí en HUP, y estoy refiriéndome a CATALANO, la banda australiana de hard rock que acaba de publicar su disco “Perfect Storm”.
Y digo que puede ser un punto de inflexión porque me ha parecido que ha generado, o ha llegado a un punto de madurez en su sonido, que puede marcar un antes y un después en su carrera, ya que poco a poco a medida que han ido avanzando en los distintos discos, han ido engrasando, acoplando o perfilando más la parte instrumental e igualmente también acoplándolo mejor con la parte melódica.
Espero que con estos ingredientes que he comentado, el disco “Perfect storm” pueda estar dentro de los grandes discos del año 2026 y que sirva también de referencia para que impulse la carrera de CATALANO y pueda llegar a estar entre los nombres reconocidos dentro del hard rock.

This time, I’m going to talk about an album that I think could be a turning point in a band’s career—one that I believe is only being discussed here on HUP—and I’m referring to CATALANO, the Australian hard rock band that has just released their album “Perfect Storm.”
And I say it could be a turning point because it seems to me that it has generated, or reached a point of maturity in its sound, which could mark a before-and-after in their career. As they’ve gradually progressed through their various albums, they’ve been fine-tuning, blending, and refining the instrumental elements, and likewise integrating them more seamlessly with the melodic elements.
I hope that with these elements I’ve mentioned, the album “Perfect Storm” can rank among the great albums of 2026 and also serve as a benchmark to propel CATALANO’s career, allowing him to become one of the recognized names in hard rock.
