THE KARMA EFFECT – Cruel intentions, 2026.

Si ya nos había quedado claro con el anterior disco de THE KARMA EFFECT que es posible hacer un brillante southern rock desde el Reino Unido, “Cruel intentions” ratifica y consagra su talento.

Me parece increíble cómo son capaces de transmitir tantísima energía y buen rollo en todos y cada uno de sus temas, pero no sólo de este disco, sino de toda su discografía.

Incluso los temas más lentos como “Closest thung to crazy” distan de ser la típica balada melosa, sino que invitan ser cantadas con los brazos en alto y una sonrisa en la cara.

Después de escuchar “Cruel intentions” y convertirme en fan incondicional de los británicos, sólo pido tener la posibilidad de verles en directo para poder empaparme de su Happy rock.

If THE KARMA EFFECT’s previous album had already made it clear that it’s possible to create brilliant Southern rock from the United Kingdom, “Cruel Intentions” reaffirms and cements their talent.

I find it incredible how they’re able to convey so much energy and good vibes in each and every one of their songs—not just on this album, but throughout their entire discography.

Even the slower tracks, like “Closest Thing to Crazy,” are far from being your typical sappy ballad; instead, they invite you to sing along with your arms raised and a smile on your face.

After listening to “Cruel Intentions” and becoming a die-hard fan of this British band, all I ask is for the chance to see them live so I can soak up their happy rock.
